Mayslake Village is a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation which provides affordable independent living opportunities for low and moderate-income senior citizens.  The Village is one of the largest federally funded Senior housing developments in the country.

Mayslake Village was founded in 1965 by the Franciscans under the direction of Father Mark Hegener O.F.M., one of the earliest advocates of the needs and rights of the elderly in America.

Mayslake Village is home to over 650 individuals.  These individuals have the ability to care for themselves in residence which allows each person independence in a caring environment.

Mayslake Village provides an array of supportive services designed to allow residents to live their retirement years with dignity, respect, and maintained health.   In addition to these services, Mayslake, through its Spread the Health program, provides direct financial assistance for residents’ vision, hearing, dental, and mental health needs.

Mayslake Village has been a leader in Senior care in DuPage County for almost 60 years.  It has been home to a multitude of Seniors and has demonstrated that economical, affordable housing with adequate support systems can be more than a dream.  Most of all it has given back to our senior’s status, security, and serenity.
