A Note About Our Admissions
Wait lists for specific buildings in Mayslake Village are periodically reopened and announced on the website, local newspapers, recorded message and posted notices. The wait time varies for different buildings, with the longest wait being one to two years for HUD-subsidized apartments in certain buildings, while the shortest wait is typically less than one year for unsubsidized apartments in the Villas.
The Cloister Courts townhome-style apartments have wait times of five to seven years for one-bedroom units, three to four years for two-bedroom units, and two to three years for three-bedroom units.
Senior Living Qualifications
Applicants must be 62 years of age, or older. Only one member of a two person household needs be 62 or older.
For Annex II, Villas Section 8 units, Manor and Wings II: $36,500 for one person; $41,700 for two persons. For Center II and Villas unsubsidized units: $58,350 for one person; $66,700 for two persons.
Rent for Annex II and Wings II is 30% of income, with a $40 electric allowance for each building. Manor and Villas Section 8 unit rent is also 30% of income and includes all utilities except phone and cable TV. These apartments are one-bedroom units with full kitchens and cater to independent seniors.
