A Note About Our Admissions

Wait lists for specific buildings in Mayslake Village are periodically reopened and announced on the website, local newspapers, recorded message and posted notices. The wait time varies for different buildings, with the longest wait being one to two years for HUD-subsidized apartments in certain buildings, while the shortest wait is typically less than one year for unsubsidized apartments in the Villas.

The Cloister Courts townhome-style apartments have wait times of five to seven years for one-bedroom units, three to four years for two-bedroom units, and two to three years for three-bedroom units.

Admission Requirements

Age Limit:

Applicants must be 62 years of age, or older. Only one member of a two person household needs be 62 or older.

Income Limits:

For Annex II, Villas Section 8 units, Manor and Wings II: $38,650 for one person; $44,150 for two persons. For Center II and Villas unsubsidized units: $61,800 for one person; $70,600 for two persons.


Rent for Annex II and Wings II is 30% of income, with a $38 electric allowance for Wings II and a $39 electric allowance for Annex II.  Manor and Villas Section 8 unit rent is also 30% of income and includes all utilities except phone and cable TV. These apartments are one-bedroom units with full kitchens and cater to independent seniors.

Mayslake Village Chapel Info

Our Chapel at Mayslake Village offers a place for quiet reflection, prayer and worship. Services are regularly scheduled and Mass is celebrated daily except on Monday. Communal services for Reconciliation and the Anointing of the Sick occur regularly.

Weekly Mass Schedule:

  • Monday – no Mass
  • Tuesday through Friday- 10:00 a.m.
  • Saturday – 4:00 p.m.
  • Sunday – 9:30 a.m.

Residents offer a Bible study for those who are interested. There are various opportunities offered throughout the year for residents to attend in the Chapel that pertain to furthering one’s faith.

Consultation with the Chaplain of the Chapel is available via appointment.
